The exchange began on October 28th, when our students sent letters in English, introducing themselves, describing their lives in Colombia, and asking questions about hobbies, traditions, and daily life.

On November 10th, the U.S. students replied entirely in Spanish, sharing information about their culture and everyday life, while also asking new questions to continue the dialogue.

El intercambio inició el 28 de octubre, cuando nuestros estudiantes enviaron cartas en inglés, presentándose, hablando de su vida en Colombia y haciendo preguntas sobre gustos, costumbres y tradiciones.

El 10 de noviembre, los estudiantes estadounidenses respondieron completamente en español, compartiendo información sobre su cultura, su día a día y formulando nuevas preguntas a sus compañeros colombianos.

The project concluded with an exciting virtual meeting on November 13th, where both groups engaged in a bilingual conversation using a question wheel with prompts in English and Spanish.

 Questions in Spanish, were answered by the U.S. students.

Questions in English, were answered by the Colombian students.

This activity allowed both groups to practice real communication, listen to authentic accents, and strengthen their speaking skills in a meaningful and dynamic way.

El cierre del proyecto fue un emocionante encuentro virtual el 13 de noviembre, donde ambos grupos participaron en una conversación bilingüe usando una ruleta de preguntas en español e inglés.

Cuando salía una pregunta en español,  respondían los estudiantes de Estados Unidos

Este espacio permitió practicar habilidades reales de conversación, escuchar acentos auténticos y fortalecer la confianza comunicativa de ambos lados.
